Last but certainly not least let me introduce you to this gold mine of SiteSpinner knowledge and troubleshooting. The friendly atmosphere, generosity and a healthy dose of humour are just some of the distinctive traits that are so familiar to all participants in this community. Another thing worth mentioning is the sensitive ear of the VM staff whenever suggestions from users are made as well as technical assistance if needed. Entering a new forum can sometimes feel awkward and intimidating as we don't know the routines like starting a new thread or finding the answer we are looking for. My intention here is to provide, especially new arrivals to the VM Forum, a short guide how to use it.

When you enter the forum for the first time you will see that there are two main sections. VM Community Forums and Frequently Asked Questions. The latter is handled by the moderators /VM staff and we/members never place any questions there but you can find many answers to your own questions there. Whatever question you might have it's possible to specify where you want to look for it. To the top left you will see four buttons (Fig.1)
I assume that you have registered as a member of the VM Forum by now. In order to get you started I will only describe two features that will be your main tool when trying to find information relevant to your own needs.

Before posing questions to the forum members try to find out if a similar subject was raised and discussed in earlier threads. To do that mouse over the 'Find' button, it will open a dialogue box (see Fig. 2).
If you can't find an answer it's time to post your question. Mouse   over the 'New' button and a drop-down 'Discussion' will appear. Mouse over that button and to the right you'll get a menu showing all available sections. Choose the section where you want to ask your question. The most used sections are 'WebDwarf, SiteSpinner,SiteSpinnerPro', where you can ask how to do something specifically using any of those three products and 'Web General Discussion', where you can discuss most other issues (see Fig. 3). Check also what questions are asked in the other sections and if you feel unsure about anything don't forget to use 'Tools' button, where you'll find a detailed 'Help' feature.
When you have chosen 'New Discussion" and the Forum you want to it posted to, a pop-up dialogue box will appear where you can still change the Forum using a drop-down list, if you would like to change your initial choice (see Fig. 4)
After choosing the right Forum to post to just fill in the Subject and write your message (Fig. 5). If you need to post a link, include an image or use some of the other features in the message box just check out Fig. 6, Fig.7 and Fig.8 below.
Add a Smiley to your message.
Change colour of your text. Making it bold, italic or underlined works in the same way.
Create a direct link to the page you need help with or something else you want others to see.
Create a direct link to an image if you want it to be a part of the message.
